Welcome to Studio Amateur

From concept to execution, we shape modern homes, boutique resorts, corporate offices, and green spaces that balance functionality with natural beauty and timeless elegance.
What we serve
Studio Amateur works with the mindset of clients. From the monumental structures to the residences and buildings that make up the fabric of a city, we can learn a lot about who the people were who inhabited them long before our time. By studying the built environment of the past, combined with modern-day research on psychology and the environment, we’re coming to understand the effects of interior designing on people in entirely new ways.
Studio Amateur and the connection individuals have to it is not something that’s easily quantified. However, we all know the feeling of walking into a space that just feels right. It’s not only functional but resonates with you on a different, subconscious level.
Our Thoughts for Client
Studio Amateur serves the client better and improves quality of life in terms of living. It’s a physical manifestation of the client’s wishes to be modern. Public domain being the obvious place which encapsulates this as buildings, alongside being art and science, are part of the public domain. As architecture is very important in society, it makes sense as to why anyone who is looking to maintain a building’s structure would look into something like truss and glulam beam repair, with the assistance of professionals who know exactly what they are doing. Studio Amateur keep the client engaged in every step of our process. After designing 2D plan we step up for 3D where client can have a visual tour of his/her dream project. Afterwards, we capitalized the dream of our client.
Principles that we up to
There are seven main elements and eight main principles Elements of Design: Space, line, shape, form, color, value and texture. Principles of Design: Balance, harmony, movement, pattern, emphasis, rhythm, contrast, and unity.
Materials we work with: While designing for function is certainly crucial, it’s important to tap into that emotional connection as well, as they both speak to the sense of experiencing modern crafting. It’s not just an intellectual understanding, but a connection between the user and the space itself in an emotional way through the proper touch of materials. Studio Amateur holds an important role to bring out the best in it.
Client Needs
Looking towards the future of Studio Amateur and its impact on society, we anticipate technology to continue to have a large impact but believe that it’s imperative that we continue to understand the human relationships to the built environment.
Beyond merely providing shelter, Interior Design becomes the stage set and context for our lives. It’s the reason we feel empowered on the roof deck of an 80-story building, connected and thriving in a busy public plaza, and humbled in a soaring cathedral. To get an idea about our client’s preferences, tests, needs, we try to understand physiological thoughts and counselling them with better knowhow.

A message from founder
Sarfuddin Mahamood Chowdhury
Founder and Principal Designer
When I founded Studio Amateur, it stemmed from a simple yet fundamental belief; spaces should not just look beautiful, but they should feel uniquely yours and fundamentally enhance the way you live, reflect, and create. Architecture and design are far more than just concrete structures, floor layouts, or decorative surfaces— they are about sculpting a living environment that sparks everyday inspiration, offers quiet comfort, and echoes your personal identity.
Over the years, our journey has been guided by a profound passion for thoughtful design, artistic precision, and functional excellence. We view every space not as a rigid structure, but as a dynamic canvas waiting to tell a story. Whether we are framing a new architectural vision, conceptualizing an immersive interior environment, or undertaking a complex structural renovation, we approach every task with a fresh perspective. We strongly reject one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we listen closely to your subtle needs, respect your vision, and combine it with our technical expertise to craft bespoke solutions that stand out.
For us, design is a deeply collaborative endeavor. It is a shared journey where light, form, texture, and proportion come together to transform simple walls into meaningful experiences. We take pride in handling every detail with meticulous care, ensuring that beauty and utility coexist seamlessly in every corner.
Thank you for inviting Studio Amateur to be a part of your story. We look forward to building timeless, functional, and truly extraordinary spaces together.
